Good of the Order:

Membership is up, member participation has increased, and more family and sports related activities are being planned. Our Tuesday Night Bingo workers have worked tirelessly and their efforts have had a tremendous effect on the financial status of our lodge, which in turn has led to increased charitable contributions to local and Moose charities. Why not lend a hand for a couple hours on a Tuesday night - either selling tickets, packages, or calling back? You’ll be helping our lodge help those that need our help.

Gimme Five: Rocky D’Andrea
By now you all know (and if you don't, for the love of all that is holy, ASK!) that the Gimmie Five program is in full swing.  The sad news is that it is woefully and painfully short.  Once again, I ask you to contribute what you can.  Can't swing the ten cents a day?  Do what you can.  You can make one time donations to this program as well.  Every little bit helps.

Now before we all hang our heads in shame, I am very happy to report that we are almost double the national average in giving.  If have the Supreme Governor at the lodge a few months ago got us recognition, doing well in this program goes even further.  This is not only in the eyes of the "powers that be," but the eyes of the children and seniors in need.  If you haven't seen the short movie on the Moose International website (www.mooseintl.org), take a look.  If you can't find the dime a day after that, join the Tin Man and head to Oz.

Remember, keep a container on your night stand and drop in a dime a day. Come down to the lodge with a check for $36.50, sign up via credit/debit card at www.moosecharities.org. However you decide to contribute and more importantly whatever you can contribute will be greatly appreciated to those in need.

At the lodge we will be doing our own tracking for those that contribute the yearly amount $36.50 (or more) and those that hit the 5 year contribution (the ultimate goal) of $182.50 so that not only can we recognize those that have participated but also put those names in for various raffles, buy you a beverage and just say “thank you.”

If you don’t regularly do so, I would suggest checking out the Moose International website (www.mooseintl.org). There are tons of benefits to you as a member as well as some great video clips of those we support just by being a Moose member.

Legion: Dan Moynahan, President

Have you been a Moose member for at least a year and signed at least 1 member, or, a member for 6 months and signed 3 new members? If so, you are eligible to join the Legion of the Moose. Our next dinner / meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 7 at 7PM. (we’re all on vacation in July) All lodge members are invited to attend.
Our Mission....
To have fun while providing greater service to the Moose Fraternity.
Our Vision...
Persuade all lodge members to join the Moose Legion and do some good thing for someone each day.
